Maria Guarin’s zest for dance goes back to early childhood, and drove her to become a ballerina, performing at the Ballet Folclorico de Antioquia and at the Ballet de Columbia. She discovered, however, that her greatest passion is Latin dance, and that skill is as much a matter of the emotions driving the dancer as command of the steps.
Maria is an experienced teacher as well as dancer: she has been instructing children and adults, beginners and advanced, for four years now. You can come to her class, but she also offers private lessons for individuals and couples as a personalized alternative to Salsa classes in order to improve your skills in a relaxed, enjoyable but thoroughly professional atmosphere. You can receive lessons at your home or in her studio. She also gives instruction at parties or at any social event.

In addition to Salsa, Maria provides instruction in Merengue, Bachato, Bolero, Cha-Cha, Cumbia, Mapale and more.
