On the whole, the aim of Adventure Planet Montessori is to provide your child with the experience that is necessary for a well-rounded development. The Adventure Planet Montessori wish that your child is: academically knowledgeable, intellectually active, emotionally stable, socially mature, and physically strong. These five areas are greatly important in order for your child to have the solid foundation which is required by them in order to meet the challenges that their future holds in school and growing up.
The classes are grouped according to age, as well as the five areas above taken into consideration. Each class is guided by a teacher that is experienced in working with young children and who also holds an Early Childhood Education certificate. The sizes of the classes are small, with on average nine or ten students per teacher.
Some of the activities that are undertaken at the school include: Art, Computer Classes, Crafts, Dance, Gymnastics, Health and manners, Listening skills, Music, Perceptual and cognitive skills, Physical development and strength, Pre-reading, Pre-math, Problem solving, Science, Singing, Social studies, Spanish. The classes are conducted in a semi-structured setting which provides discipline, but at the same time allowing free choice and a socially healthy atmosphere.
